Fees

The total cost of your child’s work with Keelin and Carmel (if required) will depend on their needs (e.g. school meetings, extent of assessment, type of assessment etc). A plan of what is expected to occur, how many sessions are needed etc, will be discussed with Tom and clarified at your initial appointment. Each appointment incurs its own charge, as does the report. Organisations (Lifetime, Care and Suppport etc) will be charged at the same rate as NDIS (see below).

Medicare Rebate

Medicare benefits are available for a range of specified psychology services for people with certain conditions. To receive psychological services under Medicare, a person must be referred by his/her GP or in some instances by a psychiatrist or a paediatrician. To see if you are eligible please check the fee flow chart (below). If you have a query please email appointments@nrneuro.com.au to discuss and if relevant, ensure your referral is arranged prior to attending.

NDIS Funding

Northern Rivers Neuropsychology makes every effort to support children with NDIS funding. However, presently the burden for applying for 'approval' as a registered provider is not a priority of our service. Clients who have Self Managed NDIS Funding or Plan Managed Funding (for improved daily living) can use this funding to pay for their neuropsychology assessment. Fees charged for this service are in accordance with NDIS rates for psychologists, $214 / hour. Reports attract a cost of $1070.
