Keelin has over 21 years experience in specialist neuropsychological assessment.

Her practice is characterised by an ability to advocate for the children she works with, to adapt her practice to suit her clients, and a wholistic vision. Keelin prioritises working collaboratively with local paediatricians, speech therapists, psychologists and schools to support her clients.

Keelin explores the issues and difficulties your child has at home or school which might relate to their particular style of thinking. She assesses thinking abilities (attention, verbal skills etc), academic skills, behaviour and, where necessary, mood. She is very committed to communicating and explaining her findings to you.

Keelin documents everything as soon as she can in professional, medical-style reports. These prove extremely helpful to the referring paediatrician, other clinicians, doctors and schools to assist them to work more effectively with your child and with diagnosis and funding applications for example.

Apart from her professional qualifications and experience, Keelin works as a gardener and has studied bush regeneration, volunteered for community radio BayFM, explored ceramics and mosaic making. She enjoyed work as an Adventure Therapist with the Recre8 Adventure Therapy Program (2009-2011), supporting groups of teenagers on expeditions across the Wollumbin Caldera. In 2013 she was inspired by a Music Therapy http://www.nmtsa.org/ workshop she attended. Keelin has training and accrediation in the administration and scoring of the ADOS II, which is used to help diagnose autism. In 2022 Keelin committed Northern Rivers Neuropsychology to become a more culturally safe practice. She has engaged in cultural supervision and completed Dr Tracy Westerman's wonderful course. Keelin is looking forward to ongoing supervision and engagement with local indigenous psychologists and elders.

Keelin strives to support the natural world around her and the people in it. She believes that all children are entitled to understanding, shelter, respect, nourishment, and music. Her family lives on an intentional community in the Northern Rivers, where she grows the community's beetroot and cucumber supply, regularly makes their yoghurt and butter, and looks after the citrus orchards.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Diagnostic Clinic

Keelin has moved to a new model of assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder queries that uses a multidisciplinary approach, rather than the ADOS. Occupational Therapist Carmel Perret (pictured here) works with Keelin in the ASD clinic. Carmel is a highly experienced practitioner. She is open hearted and kind, and works really well with children and their families. The clinic involves a series of appointments and assessments largely determined by the child's needs and presentation in the initial appointment.
